Brian Free & Assurance is back with another well crafted recording. This six song EP is the first release following the addition of Jake Anglin in the baritone position. Anglin brings a strong, warm baritone voice to this stellar lineup. Anglin takes the lead on the catchy “Old Things,” which reminds us that God forgives. No matter what we’ve done, His Grace is given to us freely. Longtime lead singer Bill Shivers is featured on the moving anthem “What If We Prayed.” This powerful song encourages listeners that change begins with us. “What The Cross Really Is” and “This Side Of A Miracle” tell of the freedom, joy, and redemption in Christ. Former Statler Brothers tenor Jimmy Fortune joins the trio on the title track which encourages listeners to be the hands and feet of Christ in their daily lives. This great album closes with the power ballad “When You’re Staring At A Mountain,” featuring Brian Free. Free delivers the lyric, which reminds us that God cares about our problems, with great conviction and power.
