THOUGHTS:
The Kingdom Heirs are back with yet another stellar recording with I Feel A Good Day Coming On. This fantastic album is the first to feature new tenor singer Jacob Ellison, who previously sang with the Voices Of Lee. Ellison brings a great new dynamic to the group with his powerful tenor voice.
This exciting album opens with the big band style title track which features guest vocalists 3 Heath Brothers. This fun tune simply says: I feel a good day coming on for Christ is control. Jeff Chapman takes the lead on the mid-tempo track “The Gospel Truth,” which tells of Christ’s Mercy and Grace. Chapman’s smooth bass continues to blow me away every time I listen to him. Jacob Ellison is also featured on the choruses showcasing his incredible tenor. Arthur Rice takes the lead on “He’s Making Good,” an up-tempo groove that reminds us that God works all things for good. Loren Harris shines on “A Heaven Frame Of Mind,” looks toward eternity with Christ in our Heavenly home. Harris delivers an incredible, soulful vocal performance on this groovy track. Rice takes the lead once again on the mid-tempo track “God Knows How Much Mercy I Need,” which reminds us that God is always with us and takes care of us. Jacob Ellison shines on the up-tempo “Jesus Is Enough,” written by drummer Dennis Murphy. This fun tune simply says that Jesus is enough for me. When life gets tough, turn it over to God who is in control. Our hope is in Him! Jeff Chapman hits some incredible low notes on this track as well that is sure to rattle your speakers! “Tell Me Again,” featuring Arthur Rice, is another fun, mid-tempo track that tells of that old time religion and giving your heart to Jesus. Tell me again how Jesus loves me! “Never Changing God” is another fantastic feature for Loren Harris. This fun song praises Christ, our constant faithful friend and the everlasting source of Living Water. He is always there for us! He never changes! Jacob Ellison shines on the ballad “What You Could Never Get Over,” which reminds us that God can get you through the darkest of trials. “What you could never get over, God can get you through.” “He Worked It Out” is a groovy tune that features Jeff Chapman’s booming bass and simply says: God worked it out on the Cross. “What My God Can Do” closes the album out with high energy and gospel style! Jacob Ellison takes the lead on this tune that simply says nothing is too hard for the Lord. I know what my God can do!
FINAL THOUGHTS:
THE KINGDOM HEIRS HAVE DONE IT AGAIN! ANOTHER STELLAR RECORDING IN EVERY ASPECT! GREAT VOCALS, WELL CRAFTED SONGS, AND TOP NOTCH MUSICIANSHIP. JACOB ELLISON IS A FANTASTIC ADDITION TO THE GROUP. HIGHLIGHTS INCLUDE: “JESUS IS ENOUGH,” “WHAT MY GOD CAN DO,” “HE’S MAKING GOOD,” AND “THE GOSPEL TRUTH.”
