One of Southern Gospel’s favorite soloists Joseph Habedank is back with another stellar recording. Habedank lends his songwriting talents to all ten new songs featuring his smooth vocals and progressive style.
This exciting album opens with the driving rhythm of “Thief In The Night” which reminds us to be vigilant for the day of Christ’s Return! The title track “Change Is Coming” is a groovy anthem that looks to the exciting return of Christ. This world is hurting and many people are looking for change. Jesus is the change and change is coming! “Religion Isn’t Working Anymore” is a thought provoking ballad that also serves as a plea to Christ. We want to feel Him instead of going through the motions of the “show.” Habedank delivers another pop infused track with “Jericho.” This fun, upbeat tune simply says: God can bring your walls down like Jericho. Keep marching on. God is here for you and He will make a way. “24 Hours” is a beautiful ballad that tells of Christ’s transforming power. Jesus will bring you through your darkest days. No matter the circumstances, Christ is there for you. “Child Of The King” is a groovy track that simply says: When Christ looks at me, He sees a Child of the King! We belong to Him though we are unworthy. “Judas” is another beautiful, contemplative ballad that reminds us that if Jesus could love a traitor like Judas, He can surely love sinners like us. “Rebel With A Cause” is a fun, upbeat tune that tells of Christ and His time on Earth. He was a rebel with a cause. This renegade came to save us! “Not Far From Home” is a powerful ballad that looks to Heaven, our Eternal home. Though we’ve never been there, our hearts long to go home. This stellar album closes with the powerful “Rise Above Eden,” a ballad that reminds us that Christ went to Calvary because He wanted us. We could blame our failures on Adam and our circumstances, but Christ has forgiven us and wants us to rise above.
