The Old Paths are back with yet another incredible new recording! What Love Does features the vocal talents of Tim Rackley, Doug Roark, Daniel Ashmore, and Steve Ladd, who have truly blended well together since 2017. This exciting album features eight new and familiar songs that encourage listeners to look to Christ in these troubled times.
The album opens with the Phil Wickham penned worship song “This Is Amazing Grace.” This powerful mid-tempo track that praises Christ for all He has done for us. Daniel Ashmore’s smooth bass is featured on the high energy “I Got The Grace, He Gets The Glory,” which reminds us that God is our solid foundation. He gives us His transforming Grace despite our sinful nature. Therefore, He gets all of the glory. Tim Rackley shines on the powerful ballad “Look At All I Lost,” which tells of being found in Christ. Steve Ladd takes the lead on the upbeat tune “Bread,” which reminds us that God can accomplish the impossible! “You Can’t Get Away From God,” featuring Doug Roark, tells of the relief found in Christ. He is always there for you no matter what you’ve done. Ashmore shines once again on the powerful “Pray While You Wait,” which reminds us that God’s timing is perfect. When life feels impossible, pray! Ashmore also showcases his instrumental talents with a beautiful jazz saxophone rendition of the classic “How Great Is Our God.” This incredible album closes with the moving “Salvation’s Song,” which tells of the freedom found in Christ. Steve Ladd delivers this lyric with incredible conviction and power.
