THOUGHTS:

Endless Highway is back! Jason and Vanessa Griggs along with their children Jay and Allison deliver yet another fantastic recording in Countless. This six song EP, the group’s second recording following the retirement of Joylanders founders, Perry and Nell Wimberly, highlights their Country Gospel style and reminds listeners of the faithfulness of Christ. Produced by Jeff Collins and featuring the songwriting talents of Kenna West, Jason Cox, and more, this EP is sure to delight listeners!

This well crafted EP kicks off with the upbeat “Keep Looking Up,” which features Jason on the verses. This song of encouragement simply says: no matter how hard things get, Christ is with you! Tune out the doubters for God is on your side! A new day is dawning! Ally takes the lead on the poignant ballad “Somebody’s World Changed Today.” This powerful song reminds us that this life has its joys and heartaches, but God will always be with us. The catchy mid-tempo title track, featuring Ally, encourages listeners that although at times they feel alone, God will never forget about us! His thoughts about us are countless like the grains of sand or the stars in the sky. Jay takes the lead on the fun, up-tempo tune “All That Remains To Be Seen,” simply tells of Christ’s transforming power at work. I hope that when you are done with me, that You are all that remains to be seen. Ally takes the lead once again on the country style ballad “26 Cents.” This song, a hit by the Canadian Trio The Wilkinsons, tells of a mother sending her daughter off to college. Vanessa Griggs shines on “‘Til They Came Home,” a beautiful tribute to the US Armed Forces. This well crafted ballad tells stories of several soldiers who sacrificed themselves for freedom throughout history.

FINAL THOUGHTS:

ENDLESS HIGHWAY DELIVERS YET ANOTHER HIT RECORD! ALTHOUGH IT IS SHORT, COUNTLESS PROVIDES LISTENERS WITH SIX WELL CRAFTED SONGS OF ENCOURAGEMENT AND HOPE. STELLAR VOCALS, GREAT SONGS, AND TOP NOTCH PRODUCTION QUALITY. HIGHLIGHTS INCLUDE: “KEEP LOOKING UP,” AND “COUNTLESS.”

4 OUT 5 STARS!!
