Cana’s Voice is back with another stellar new project featuring songs of hope and faith. Their sophomore project Don’t Wanna Miss This is the result of a two year effort. Teaming up with producers Wayne Haun, Jim Hammerly, and Jerard Woods, TaRanda Greene, Doug Anderson, and Jody McBrayer deliver another project that is sure to lift the spirits of all who listen.
This worshipful album opens with the group’s cover of and Andre Crouch song “Where Jesus Is.” This up-tempo, groove simply says: take me to where Jesus is. The title track is an epic anthem that features each member and simply encourages listeners to cherish the life we have been given. There are many distractions every day making it easy to lose focus on the important things. Breathe it in. We are all God’s children and He is here. God is good! “There Is A Love,” is a great mid-tempo tune featuring the smooth baritone of Doug Anderson. This simple yet powerful song reminds us that God’s Love knows no limits. There is a Love for all people despite what the world might say. Nothing can separate us from Him. “Orphans of God,” is a powerful anthem that simply declares: there are no strangers, no outcasts, and no orphans of God. Come all you weary and lay down your head. Come all to the feet of Jesus and lay your burdens down. In Christ, no one is alone. TaRanda Greene delivers the lyric beautifully. Her voice continues to blow me away. “I Don’t Have To Know,” is another mid-tempo track that features each member. This simple yet profound song reminds us that Christ has it under control. God knows what’s next. I don’t have to know because God is leading me. Next, the group picks up the energy with a fun groovy tune called “Again & Again.” This song, featuring Jody McBrayer, praises Christ for His faithfulness. Nothing is going to hold me back from praising Him. The groovy “We’re Blessed,” continues the energy by lifting praises to Him for everything He has done. Next, Jody McBrayer leads the group’s cover of the Legacy Five classic “I Stand Redeemed.” McBrayer’s resonant tenor fits this song perfectly. His version stands on par with other renditions I’ve heard. “Center Of It All,” featuring Doug Anderson and TaRanda, is a beautiful ballad and simply says: We will praise you in all circumstances, for He is with us in the center of it all. TaRanda takes the lead on the mid-tempo groove “Hope,” which simply encourages listeners to not give up. There is always hope! “What Are You Waiting For,” is a clever tune that simply says: Let Christ in. You’ll find no greater friend. If you’re searching for answers, what are you waiting for? Jesus is at your door. He knows right where you are so let Him into your heart. Anderson delivers this lyric with such conviction and power. This incredible album closes with the powerful anthem “At Midnight,”: a ballad that simply reminds us that Christ works all things for good. Keep trusting Him! Do not doubt in darkness what He has shown you in the light!

CANA’S VOICE HAVE ONCE AGAIN DELIVERED AN INCREDIBLE SELECTION OF SONGS THAT ARE SURE TO MINISTER TO ALL WHO LISTEN. INCREDIBLE HARMONIES, PROFOUND LYRICS, AND STELLAR VOCALS. DEFINITELY AMONG THE BEST ALBUMS OF THE YEAR.
