THOUGHTS:
Triumphant Quartet is back with a follow up to their successful album Thankful with Yes. This exciting new project features great songs from some of Gospel music’s finest and is sure to be a delight to listeners everywhere.
The album opens with the driving rhythm of “Going There,” which features Scott Inman and joyfully proclaims that we will be going to land where there is no more night! Soon I’ll be going there to the place that God has prepared for me! “Even Me,” also features Scott and is the first single from the project. This is a powerful track that reminds us that Jesus died for all of us even though we are unworthy. “For God so loved the world means even me!” Clayton Inman’s signature lead voice shines on “Eye Of The Storm,” which tells of the anchor that is Christ in the storms of life. His Love surrounds us in the eye of the storm! He will never leave you or forsake you! The title track is classic Triumphant! It features the tight, signature harmonies and a groovy driving rhythm that fans have come to expect from the group. This fun song talks about the day Jesus saved the singer’s soul! When I ran to Him, He said yes! Eric Bennett gets a few low step out lines as well! Speaking of Bennett, the award winning bass is featured on the tender mid-tempo ballad entitled “What He’s Done For Me.” This well crafted song says: Christ has made a change in me! I can’t begin to explain the feeling of joy that He brings. “All I can do is tell you what He’s done for me.” Tenor David Sutton takes the lead on the powerful anthem “Give You All The Glory,” which praises Christ for He is worthy of all praise! His Name is Holy! “I will lift my voice and give you all the glory!” Scott Inman takes the lead on the up-tempo, old timey 50’s style tune “Joy,” which tells of the infectious joy that is found in Christ that no one can take away! Sutton and Bennett have great step outs as well! “A Little Bit,” is a fun, up-tempo, fast paced tune that features David Sutton and Eric Bennett. This catchy song reminds us that God can do a lot with just a little bit! “All Things Good,” another Clayton Inman feature, is a mid-tempo track that powerfully reminds us that God make all things good. He is the Redeemer! Amen! “Only God Knows,’ is another powerful ballad that features Scott and encourages listeners to not give up! God is right beside you and will never leave you! Only God knows you heart and how it fits in His plan. He is control even when it seems your world is falling apart. The album closes with Triumphant’s cover of a hit from Contemporary Christian Music called “We Believe.” This proclamation in song powerfully states: We believe in God The Father, Jesus Christ the Son, and the Holy Spirit, the Crucifixion,that He conquered death, that He rose again and is coming back!!
