THOUGHTS:
The Erwins are back with another exciting new project entitled Watch & See. This talented family group delivers another hit recording featuring nine fresh, inventive, and inspirational songs. Their fresh, energetic and heartfelt vocals have made the group one to watch. This project is a great showcase of their talent.
The album kicks off with the title track co-written by Kris Erwin that features Katie on step out lines. This fun, mid-tempo tune that encourages listeners to trust in the promises of Christ! He is the God of miracles. Watch and see what God can do! The group’s harmonies on this track are stellar! Katie takes the lead on the mid-tempo “The Right Thing To Do,” which reminds us that no matter the circumstances: love is always the answer. Love can heal the deepest wrong. Love is the right thing to do. “The Power Of An Empty Tomb,” featuring Keith, is a organ infused, mid-tempo tune that tells of the miracle of love and the sacrifice of Christ. Broken lives are mended that’s the power of an empty tomb! Death has died! Kris takes the lead on “Like I’m On The Shore,” a catchy lyric that says: “If I find myself on stormy seas, I’m gonna trust You like I’m on the shore.” I will trust in You for You have already proved Your love for me! “Hallelujahs Never End,” a powerful anthem that proclaims: One day we will be face to face with Jesus, where the Hallelujahs never end. Kris gives an incredible performance on this epic song. “Glorious, Amazing God,” is a beautiful mid-tempo song of praise. The stellar harmonies of these talented siblings are on full display on this great track. “After The Storm,” is a fun, catchy tune that is a great testimony: I’m still standing after storm. Katie once again delivers a strong vocal on this great track written by Karen Gillespie and Rachel McCutcheon. The groovy mid-tempo track “A Million Storms,” features Keith and simply says: “to know Him better, I’d brave a million storms.” The album closes with the powerful “In The House Of The Lord,” which proclaims: Christ is our refuge. In the House of The Lord, my reward will be to live within His Holy Presence.
FINAL THOUGHTS:
THE ERWINS HAVE DELIVERED YET ANOTHER STRONG AND HIGHLY ENJOYABLE RECORDING. GREAT VOCALS, MUSICAL ARRANGEMENT, PRODUCTION QUALITY. STANDOUTS INCLUDE: “IN THE HOUSE OF THE LORD,” “AFTER THE STORM,” AND “WATCH & SEE.” THIS IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE ALBUMS OF THE YEAR, BUT I WOULD’VE LOVED A FEATURE FOR KODY.
4.5 OUT OF 5 STARS!
