SOUTHERN GOSPEL SPOTLIGHT PRESENTS:
NEWS:
Jeremy Ballinger, Chris Bennett and Mike Franklin come together as United Voice.
Last Wednesday, The Inspirations announced the retirement of group pianist, owner, and founder Martin Cook. Former tenor Archie Watkins has returned to manage and is the new owner.
The Gaither Vocal Band has announced the departure of long time tenor David Phelps. Phelps is leaving to focus on his solo career, but will still appear at several Gaither events.
In the same press release, the GVB announced that Reggie Smith will be joining the group as tenor. Smith is no stranger to Gospel Music and the Gaithers as he and his wife Ladye Love have been members of the Homecoming Friends for over a decade. His first official concert with the group will be on April 1st.
David Phelps announced that he is working on a live concert video, a companion book for Hymnal, and will star in a Broadway-style musical : Quanah.
