From the opening Celtic inspired “For All The Saints,” to the groovy “I’ve Got My Reservation,” (written by Jenna & Blake) this recording truly captures the above passage. The Bolerjacks blend well together vocally and their style is captivating. The duo puts their own spin on the fun, up-tempo “Singing With The Saints,” made popular by the Gaither Vocal Band. Their arrangement stays true to the GVB version aside from a few repetitions. Next, “He Loves,” is a beautiful ballad that is full of emotion and praise to Christ. This incredible lyric simply says Christ knows, He cares, and He Loves. Christ is the all powerful Savior of the world! No matter what you are going through, He is in control. “It is all about Him, yet He is all about me!” What a powerful message of Hope!! “Praise To The Lord,” is a bombastic anthem telling of the amazing works of Christ! Another powerful track is the Jeoffrey Benward and Jeff Silvey penned ballad “He Is.” This creative lyric tells of what the Bible says Christ is in each book. This is one of the strongest tracks on the album in my opinion. Next, “Lord Have Mercy,” is an epic ballad featuring Blake Bolerjack in his strongest vocal performance on the album. This incredible lyric is a beautiful prayer for mercy. We have placed all our hopes in Christ our Savior. Lord, show us mercy though we do not deserve it. “Bring On The Storm,” is a driving rhythmic, country styled song that simply says: With Christ, we can take on anything! He is the master of the storms! If the storm is good for me, he will guide me through it! “All Is Well,” written by Jessica Campbell, Jason Cox, and Keith Smith, features Jenna Bolerjack. This moving ballad reminds us that Jesus never fails! He is always with us! He is faithful through every trial! In Him, all is well! Next, “He Lived To Tell It All,” is a groovy track that tells of the Resurrection of Christ! Jesus died, He rose, and He lived to tell it all!! The tender mid-tempo ballad “He Is Risen,” featuring Jenna, also tells of the resurrection and our own everlasting life waiting for us if we believe. Hallelujah! Jesus is alive!! The work of the cross is finished and victory is won for He has risen!! This great record closes with another Dan Scott & Nathan DiGesare ballad “We Believe,” which proclaims the belief in the all mighty Creator and Savior Jesus Christ!
FINAL THOUGHTS:
AN IMPRESSIVE ALBUM FEATURING WELL WRITTEN SONGS, GREAT VOCALS, AND A POWERFUL MESSAGE! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS ALBUM! I HAD NOT HEARD OF THE DUO BEFORE BUT COUNT ME AS A FAN NOW WITH THIS CD!
