VENUE: SHADOW MOUNTAIN COMMUNITY CHURCH, EVENT CENTER, EL CAJON, CA.

ON NOVEMBER 19, 2016, DR. DAVID JEREMIAH'S SHADOW MOUNTAIN CHURCH PLAYED HOST TO AN INCREDIBLE LINEUP OF SOUTHERN GOSPEL MUSIC'S POPULAR ARTISTS: CHART TOPPING QUARTET LEGACY FIVE, DYNAMIC TRIO THE BOOTH BROTHERS, COMEDIAN TIM LOVELACE, AND NEW TRIO CANA'S VOICE.

THESE TALENTED ARTISTS CAME TOGETHER FOR AN AMAZING NIGHT OF WORSHIP.

TIM LOVELACE SERVED AS THE MC FOR THR EVENING BRINGING HIS SIGNATURE BRAND OF COMEDY.

CANA'S VOICE KICKED OFF THE EVENING WITH FIVE SONGS FROM THEIR DEBUT ALBUM THIS CHANGES EVERYTHING, WHICH WAS RELEASED THIS MAY. THIS DYNAMIC TRIO IS COMPRISED OF AWARD WINNING SOLOIST TARANDA GREENE, FORMER AVALON MEMBER JODY MCBRAYER, AND ORIGINAL ERNIE HAASE & SIGNATURE SOUND MEMBER DOUG ANDERSON.

THIS GROUP BLEW ME AWAY RIGHT FROM THE FIRST CHORUS OF "HEAVENLY FATHER." THIS WAS THE FIRST TIME SEEING THE TRIO LIVE IN CONCERT AND I MUST SAY I'M IMPRESSED. DOUG ANDERSON WAS FEATURED ON A POWERFUL MID-TEMPO BALLAD "LOVE ANYWAY," WHICH REMINDS US TO LOVE EACH OTHER NO MATTER THE CIRCUMSTANCES OF LIFE. LOVE WITH EVERY BEAT OF YOUR HEART. LOVE DEEPER THAN YOUR SCARS. BE BOLD AND UNAFRAID. BE THE LOVE JESUS SHOWS US. WE MAY NOT DESERVE IT BUT WE ARE ALL WORTH IT! DOUG GAVE A STELLAR PERFORMANCE ON THIS INCREDIBLE SONG!

NEXT, JODY MCBRAYER SPOKE ABOUT THE GROUP AND SHARED HIS HEART TO THE AUDIENCE REINFORCING THE MESSAGE OF HOPE FOR THE BROKEN. DON'T GIVE UP! YOU CAN FIND HOPE IN CHRIST! HE THEN TOOK THE LEAD ON ANOTHER POWERFUL SONG ENTITLED " HIS HEART IS BIG ENOUGH," WHICH ALSO FEATURED TARANDA. THIS SONG & PERFORMANCE WAS SIMPLY INCREDIBLE.

THE GROUP ALSO COVERED THE FUN "THERE IS A MOUNTAIN," BEFORE CLOSING WITH "JESUS NEVER FAILS." OVERALL, CANA'S VOICE IS A FANTASTIC NEW TRIO THAT IS SURE TO BE A FAN FAVORITE!

THE GROUP DID NOT SING DURING THE SECOND HALF DUE TO AN EARLY PERFORMANCE THE FOLLOWING MORNING.

TIM LOVELACE INTRODUCED LEGACY FIVE NEXT TO WELCOMING APPLAUSE.

THE TALENTED QUARTET COMPRISED OF SCOTT FOWLER, SCOTT HOWARD, TREY IVEY, MATT FOUCH AND JOSH FEEMSTER OPENED WITH THE FUN, TRADITIONAL STYLE TUNE "DEEP IN MY HEART," WHICH IS FOUND ON THEIR NEW CD IN THE HANDS OF A CARPENTER. EACH MEMBER WAS FEATURED ON THIS GREAT SONG. NEXT, THE GROUO PERFORMED THE FAN FAVORITE CATHEDRAL CLASSIC "HE MADE A CHANGE." I NEVER GET TIRED OF HEARING THIS SONG! MATT FOUCH NAILED THE LOW NOTES AS ALWAYS! LEAD SINGER AND FOUNDER SCOTT FOWLER INTRODUCED THE NEXT SONG AS HIS FAVORITE NEW SONG L5 HAS RECORDED. "IN THE HANDS OF A CARPENTER" FEATURED YOUNG PIANIST TREY IVEY AND TELLS THE STORY OF JESUS! IVEY, AS EVIDENCED BY THIS PERFORMANCE, HAS REALLY COME INTO HIS OWN AS A VOCALIST!

SCOTT FOWLER THEN SHAREF HIS FEELINGS ABOUT THIS GREAT COUNTRY AND THE AMERICAN PATRIOT'S BIBLE. IVEY WAS THEN FEATURED ON A FANTASTIC INSTRUMENTAL AMERICA MEDLEY. THE QUARTET CLOSED OUT THEIR FIRST SET WITH "HALLELUJAH" WHICH SHOWCASED NEW TENOR JOSH FEEMSTER'S RANGE.

TIM LOVELACE TOOK THE STAGE FOOLWING THE QUARTET WITH A SONG OF HIS OWN ENITLED "SIDE EFFECTS" WHICH IS A SILLY SONG WITH A GREAT MESSAGE: JOY AND HAPPINESS ARE SIDE EFFECTS OF KNOWING JESUS! LOVELACE THEN HAD THE AUDIENCE LAUGHING WITH HIS HILARIOUS COMEDY SET ABOUT GYMNASTICS CLASS AND HIS CRAZY ANTICS BACK IN THE 60S.

NEXT THE BOOTH BROTHERS TOOK THE STAGE! THIS FAN FAVORITE TRIO FEATURING MICHAEL BOOTH, RONNIE BOOTH AND PAUL LANCASTER HAD THE CROWD ON THEIR FEET! THEY KICKED OFF THEIR SET WITH A UNIQUE AND GROOVY VERSION OF THE MOSIE LISTER CLASSIC "HAPPY RYTHYM." BARITONE PAUL LANCASTER SHINED ON THE BEAUTIFUL BALLAD "TOUCH OF THE MASTER'S HAND," WHICH TELLS OF THE TRANSFORMING POWER OF CHRIST. RONNIE BOOTH WAS FEATURED IN THE GREAT SONG "LOVE WAS IN THE ROOM," WHICH SHOWCASED THEIR BLEND AND HARMONY NICELY. THE TRIO CLOSED THEIR FIRST SET WITH A TRULY ANNOINTED RENDITION OF "THEN I MET THE MASTER." I WAS SIMPLY BLOWN AWAY BY THE PERFORMANCE. I'M SURE THE SPIRIT OF THE LORD WAS THERE!

AFTER A FIFTEEN MINUTE INTERMISSION, THE BOOTH BROTHERS RETURNED TO THE STAGE WITH FIVE MORE FANTASTIC SONGS INCLUDING: "IF GOD DIDN'T CARE," THE LATIN FLAVORED "ALL OVER THE WORLD," AND"HE SAW IT ALL." PAUL LANCASTER NAILED HIS FEATURE ON THE ENERGETIC "CROSS FOR A CROWN," WHICH ENCORED ("ALL OVER THE WORLD" WAS ALSO ENCORED).

THEY CLOSED THEIR FINAL SET WITH A SIMPLE YET BEAUTIFUL RENDITION OF "IT IS NO SECRET" ON WHICH RONNIE NOT ONLY SANG THE LEAD BUT PLAYED GUITAR.

LEGACY FIVE TOOK THE STAGE ONCE AGAIN AND SANG FOUR MORE SONGS. THE QUARTET OPENED WITH A POWERFUL VERSION OF THE CLASSIC "WHEN I SURVEY THE WONDROUS CROSS," WHICH CAN ALSO BE FOUND ON THEIR NEW CD. JOSH FEEMSTER'S TENOR VOICE HAS FIT IN NICELY WITH THE GROUP! HE SOUNDED EVEN BETTER THAN HE DID LAST MAY.

THE GROUP THEN LAUNCHED INTO THEIR HUT SONG "I FOUND GRACE," WHICH FEATURED BASS SINGER MATT FOUCH AND FEEMSTER. THIS SONG IS ALWAYS A CROWD FAVORITE AND TONIGHT WAS NO EXCEPTION!

SCOTT HOWARD SHINED ON THE MID- TEMPO BALLAD "LOST IN GOD'S GRACE," WHICH THANKS CHRIST FOR HIS MERCY AND GRACE IN OUR LIVES. FOLLOWING ANOTHER PASSIONATE MESSAGE, SCOTT FOWLER TOOK THE LEAD ON "I TRUST THE CROSS" WHICH WAS AMAZING LIVE IN CONCERT. DEFIBITELY ONE IF MY FAVORITES FROM THEIR NEW RECORD!

THIS INCREDIBLE NIGHT OF SINGING AND PRAISING GOD WRAPPED UP WITH A REPRISE OF "HE MADE A CHANGE" WITH THE BOOTH BROTHERS JOINING THEM ON STAGE.

FINAL THOUGHTS:

WHAT AN INCREDIBLE NIGHT! GREAT SONGS, AMAZINGLY TALENTED ARTISTS, AND A GREAT VENUE! IT WAS GREAT TO TALK TO THE ARTISTS AFTER THE CONCERT AS ALWAYS. I AM ALWAYS IMPRESSED WITH THEIR KIDNESS TOWARD THE FANS MYSELF INCLUDED.

CAN'T WAIT FOR THE NEXT ONE!

I WOULD LIKE TO THANK SHADOW MOUNTAIN AND DR. JEREMAIH FOR HOSTING THIS EVENT AS WELL AS IMC AND RUTH ANN DEFOREST FOR ORGANIZING IT.
