THOUGHTS:

Tribute Quartet truly hits a home run with their sophomore recording on Daywind Records. Produced by the multi-award winning Wayne Haun, this record showcases the incredible harmonies of one of Southern Gospel Music’s most dynamic quartets. This fresh and exciting new project features the stellar voice of Riley Harrison Clark, Gary Casto, Josh Singletary, and Anthony Davis. If you are feeling alone in this troubling time, this album reminds us that God is here for you!

Gary Casto and Josh Singletary are featured on the title track “Here For You,” which kicks off the record. This upbeat track complete with soaring orchestration reminds us that all we need is in Christ! The project’s first single the groovy “Never Forsaken,” also features Gary Casto’s unique lead. Written by Wayne Haun and Joel Lindsey, this lyric simply says that Christ will never leave us or forsake us. He is watching down over us always!

Baritone and Pianist Josh Singletary takes the lead on the first verse of the jazzy tune “Somebody Sing Me That Song.” Bass singer Anthony Davis is featured on the second verse and the rest of the choruses. Both Davis and Singletary shine on this track which encourages us that soon our troubles will be over. Someday we will be going to a land where our cares will all roll away! While Davis’s upper range is showcased nicely, Singletary’s Sinatra style baritone is the standout on this track.

Tenor Riley Harrison Clark beautifully delivers the powerful ballad “When The Prodigal Comes Home.” This incredible lyric tells the story of the prodigal son’s return and encourages the lost to come home to the Father. “There is no condemnation, just a Father who has been waiting to put His arms around you.” Only kindness and rejoicing awaits your return home!! Christ is longing for you! His love for you is everlasting! He is faithful!!

Casto is featured again on the up-tempo energy filled track “Meeting In The Middle of The Air.” This tongue twister of a song is definitely one of my favorites on this record. This song about the Rapture says that someday whether we believers are alive or in the grave, we will join the Father for a great meeting in the middle of the air.

Next, Riley Harrison Clark is featured once again on the encouraging mid-tempo song “God Of The Storms,” which says that Christ is your shelter! Beneath the safe cover of Christ, we are at peace in the midst of the storms of this life. Amen! Josh Singletary once again takes the lead on the country style track “Everybody Come See Jesus,” which tells the story of Jesus. He is the Son of God, and the Son of Man! There has never been another that has done what he has done! He is alive!! Everybody come see Jesus!! This song showcases the group’s stellar blend as well as feature quite possibly Anthony Davis’s lowest note on the tag toward the end.

Speaking of Davis, he channels Tennessee Ernie Ford on the groovy “That’s How I Know,” which tells of the transforming power of Christ! He gave me love, hope and peace! “Faith gave me something that I can feel and that’s how I know that my God is real!” Casto and Clark are featured on the ballad “Grace At Its Best,” which beautifully says Grace at its best is still the Cross! Casto himself co-wrote this heartfelt lyric. Next, the group covers the Connie Hopper penned Hoppers classic “Jesus Saves.” This fun convention style song is sure to be a concert favorite!! This incredible record closes with the beautiful ballad “Nothing Stops The Savior’s Love.” This powerful lyric is delivered by Riley Harrison Clark in quite possibly his best performance ever in my opinion. There is no broken life that mercy can’t make whole! Jesus finds us where we are. Fear may rule the day, but Hope always finds a way! Nothing stop His Love!! Amen!
