THE OLD PATHS ANNOUNCE NEW DIRECTION

BREAKING NEWS:

The Old Paths have announced that the group will retire at the end of the year. Owners Tim Rackley and Doug Roark have decided to shift focus to their families and home.

The article states, "Group owners Tim Rackley and Douglas Roark have decided that it is in the best interest of their families for their focus to be on home. With this decision, The Old Paths' final service will be December 6, 2015. They will be honoring all dates currently on their calendar as well as any additional dates added before December 6. Both Tim and Douglas feel it is important to honor obligations to those who have invested in The Old Paths. They also want the other members of the group more-than-ample time to make future plans."

I was definitely not expecting this, but understand their reasoning behind this decision. The Old Paths are among my favorite groups and have released many great recordings. I had the pleasure of interviewing Doug Roark via Facebook for this blog a while ago in addition to reviewing their last project Stay. They are men with integrity and truly exhibit God's love. This incredible group will be missed, but I'm sure that there are great things to come from the other members. I hope God continues to bless these men and look forward to seeing what He has in store for Daniel Ashmore and Jeremy Peace.
