GROUP HISTORY: TRIUMPHANT QUARTET

In 2002, one of the consistent quartets in Southern Gospel Music was born. Formed by several former members of the Kingdom Heirs, the quartet has consisted of lead singer Clayton Inman (sang with KH from 1989-1994), his son Scott Inman singing baritone, tenor David Sutton (sang with KH from 1994-2002), bass singer Eric Bennett (sang with KH from 1991-2002), and pianist Jeff Stice (with KH from 1999-2002) from its inception until 2014 when Stice left the group. Stice was replaced at the piano by G.W. Southard earlier this year. The group was originally called Integrity Quartet, but later changed its name to Triumphant Quartet in 2004. In their early years, most if not all of their performances were held at the Louise Mandrell Theater in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. In 2007, the group decided to leave the theater to tour full time. A unique feat in a field where change is constant, this powerhouse quartet is currently the only established full time group to maintain the same vocal lineup. This solid vocal lineup has developed a unique style during their thirteen year career. Triumphant has become one of the most popular artists in Southern Gospel Music earning many fan awards. The group is known for their well crafted songs some of which are written by their own Scotty Inman. Their songs, "I Bring You Forgiveness," "Don't Let the Sandals Fool Ya," "Hey, Jonah," "The Great I Am Still Is," "The Old White Flag", "When the Trumpet Sounds" "Somebody Died For Me,” “Love Came Calling,” "Saved by Grace,” “Take It From Me, Meshach”, and “Because He Loved Me” , were given Singing News Fan Awards nominations for Favorite Song of the Year in 2004, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, and 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 respectively. The group has also been awarded the "Favorite Traditional Male Quartet" honor six years running (2009-2014). They also garnered a Grammy nomination in 2010 for their hit record Everyday (2009).

The only other major change that the group has undergone is signing with Wayne Haun and Ernie Haase’s StowTown records in June of 2014. This move will prove to be a great one with their debut StowTown recording Living In Harmony which will be released on April 14th. This quartet shows no signs of slowing down and continues to spread the Gospel through song. They stay true to the call and sing to sold out crowds all over the nation. Good things are on the horizon for this incredible quartet!!
